1. What is foam board?
Foam board is a mounting substrate. It has a resilient polystyrene core that resists denting and crushing. The core's built-in memory assists the cutting process, edges spring back to their original thickness keeping the board uniform and the finish even. The polystyrene core has a clay coated paper surface that is permanently bonded front and back. This light-weight inexpensive substrate is commonly used for creating rigid displays.
